Approximately 24% of New Zealand's total population lives with some form of long term disability. Founder/Editor John Wolk, who was born with a physical disability - Spina Bifida - saw an opportunity to realise a personal passion of being involved in media - although print media was not his first passion - and embarked on a journey that led to the creation of what was Without Limits Magazine.

 

In 2003 John launched Without Limits Magazine, a quarterly print publication focussing on the disabled community and sector.

 

The magazine stopped being published in 2015 when John became seriously ill and ended up in hospital for an extended period of time. Since being discharged from hospital and rehab, John began exploring ways of bringing the magazine back using technology available today, which has evolved into this website.
